Dupa mai mult de 8 ani de experienta, trecand prin diferite stiluri muzicale apropiate ca gen, incercand sa prinda si sa asimileze cat mai multe influente din diferite parti, sound-ul Alex Maresh ramane cel putin pentru moment, in zona techno-ului, un spatiu foarte vast si permanent deschis.
Ca si DJ, Maresh a fost intotdeauna atras de aspectul tehnic, de tehnologia care l-ar fi putut ajuta sa manipuleze sunetul. A incercat toate posibilitatile de a mixa, cautand un setup care sa fie potrivit pentru ce dorea sa faca.
Mai tarziu, odata cu explozia tehnologiei in domeniu, este tot mai interesat de loop-uri, efecte, de a combina mai multe piese deodata, si de a extrage numai anumite parti importante din ele, incercand sa formeze un stil propriu de a mixa. Acest gen de muzica, techno-ul in general, este o muzica repetitiva, cateodata groovy cateodata rece. Toate aceste loop-uri combinate si modulate pot exprima de fiecare data alte senzatii. Daca intotdeauna poti creea ceva nou chiar daca te folosesti de aceleasi instrumente de ce sa te limitezi la o simpla trecere de la o piesa la alta cand ai la dispozitie atatea noi modalitati de a mixa, si poti creea si recreea o piesa, sa o combini cu alta, sau sa cauti o voce hipnotica de exemplu.
Din cauza abundentei tehnogiei de a mixa, tot mai acurata, DJul modern, cand foloseste toate aceste mijloace, poate fii incadrat intr-o alta tipologie de artist, pe langa "DJ set" si "Live act" si anume "DJ act".
DJ act-urile lui sunt predominate de ritmuri monotone, hipnotice de minimal techno, cu linii de bass si percutii specifice, urcand de la BPMuri joase, pline de sunete groovy chiar euforice la beat-uri mai agressive.
Ca si producator, primul EP a fost lansat la labelul spaniol Subconce, pe 12 inch (vinyl), un remix la o piesa a lui Mihai Popoviciu, Motor Like. Alt EP a urmat la Subconce Digital, Slowmotion dupa care la labelul german Monomental, "Forbidden Fruit". Piese apar pe compilatia label-ului Harry Klein Networks si pe compilatia labelul Monomental, "Strike the right note". In curand vor fii lansate si alte EPuri cum ar fii la Subconce impreuna cu Mihai Popoviciu, Don't Talk, EP care cuprinde si un remix al unui artist argentinian, Gurtz.

After 8 years of mixing, and changing not so different styles of electronic music in his sets, trying to catch but also to assimilate and understand many influences from different parts, Alex Maresh's sound remains, at least for now, in the techno area, a very wide one and permanently opened music space. As a DJ, Maresh was always found of the technical aspect, of the technology that could help him to manipulate the sound.
He tried all the mixing ways available of that period, and searched something that was suited for he's needs. Later, as technology evolved, is more and more into loops and effects, more into combining 2 or more tracks simultaneously, trying to define it's own idea of mixing. This kind of electronic music, techno in general, is repetitive music, sometimes groovy sometimes cold, but its loop music that combined and twisted can express a lot of different feelings even using the same loops/tracks.
You can always express something new, even if you are using something old over and over again for example, so why to simply pass from one track to another, when you have so many new and different possibilities to mix, and you can create and recreate a track, combine it with something else or search a hypnotic voice for instance. Because of the abundant and more accurate mixing technology now days, the modern DJ or if you want the digital DJ, when is making use off all this stuff, can be classified in a new category between the "Live act" and "Dj set", and this will be "DJ act". He's DJ acts are more into monotone and hypnotic rhythms with dark minimal techno bass lines and wired sounds, going up and down, from a small BPM with euphoric and groovy sounds to more dark and aggressive beats. As a producer, first EP has been released at Subconce label, Spain, on 12 inch, a remix of Mihai Popoviciu's track, Motor like. Another EP on Subconce Digital followed, called Slowmotion and then at the German label Monomental an EP called "Forbidden Fruit". Tracks also appear on the Harry Klein Networks compilation and
Monomental label compilation "Strike the right note". Soon will be released at Subconce label, Maresh&Popoviciu - Don't talk also on 12 inch.
