Demonstrative Workshop - the producing: How is the electronic music produced?
The electronic music scene would not have existed if the electronic music would not have been produced and this wouldn't happened if there wouldn't have existed electronic musical instruments.
The electronic music first appeared in the early 70' when bands like Kraftwerk and later on Dangerine Dream or Yello shocked the whole world by creating tracks only with electronic synthesizers (to be more exactly, the "instruments" were improvised by the artists themselves).
At the beginning of the existence of the electronic music, to produce a track you had to use a lot of equipment and electronic instruments, and to connect them all together. Basically creating a track you had to posses not just the musical skills, but also a lot of good technical skills.
Of course, with the passing of the years, better and more efficient and accessible equipment has been developed, and the number of the artists has increased. So, the number of the produced tracks and released records has increased and so the electronic music industry was borned.
Later on, the possibility of interconnecting a personal computer through Midi interface with different equipment and electronic instruments has helped the artistst to produce easyer the music. Just when they thought their work could not get easier, the sequencer and VST programs were offered as producing tools.
The demonstrative workshop will focus on the latest trend, on creating music with the help of the computer, using the sequencer and the VST programs, with the help of the keyboards or a the Midi controller.
There will be presented different ways of making, processing, or filtering sounds, or creating a track from start to finish (choosing the right percussion, creating the rhythm, creating the melodic background, the making of the track, channel mixing, mastering, etc.)
A demonstration on working with the voice will also be made: how the voice is recorded and after that transformed with the help of the effects.
The show will be hostet by some talented and prolific romanian producers that have already produced and released tracks at various national and international labels.
