Vania e Tiberiu Jakab. Tiberiu Jakab s-a nascut in 1982, iar pe Vania l-a nascut in 1995 din pasiune si fara scop. Scopul apare pe parcurs.
Dragostea initiala pentru muzica a devenit o obsesie care l-a transformat intr-un final in DJ. A inceput sa mixeze in liceu, iar primul contact cu echipamente profesionale a fost in 2001. Au urmat apoi diverse mici petreceri.
Vania sta impotriva monotoniei si iubeste seturile pozitive si dinamice. Locatia, publicul, sistemul de sunet si restul artistilor din program sunt elementele principale care influenteaza setul unui DJ, iar Vania incearca sa-si potriveasca stilul in concordonta, in destul de largile limite ale muzicii pe care o apreciaza.
Influentele muzicale variaza de la The Beatles la Laurent Garnier, de la muzica clasica la techno sau IDM, dar ca DJ incearca sa contruiasca un ritm puternic, si nu se multumeste cu o audienta statica.
Scena muzicala romaneasca a fost mult inghetata, dar a inceput sa se deschida in ultimii ani, cautand noi stiluri si sunete, iar acum se simte o drastica imbunatatire, atat in scena mainstream, cat si in cea underground.
2007 il gaseste ca DJ rezident pentru "The Mission" Bucuresti si al clubului Studio Martin, unul dintre cele mai vechi si mai renumite din Bucuresti. La premiile Nights.ro in 2005 si 2006 a fost clasat pe locul 5 la categoria "Cel mai bun DJ al anului" si in 2005 a luat si locul 2 la categoria "Cea mai mare ascensiune a anului".
A scris la revista Nights.ro, a scris rubrica Contur la Clubbing Mag, V-Factor la Beatfactor.ro si o casuta tehnica pentru FHM. S-a ocupat de recenzii de artisti, petreceri, EP-uri si albume, dar si de articole literare si editoriale si a avut ocazia sa intervieveze legende ale muzicii electronice precum Derrick May, si multi alti printre care Marco V, Krafty Kuts, Luciano, Thomas Melchior, Magda, Apparat sau Marco Carola.
Impreuna cu Andrei Ioncica, au pornit proiectul muzical Vania si Midy. Piese Vania si Midy au fost sustinute de multi DJ si producatori din Romania, dar si de DJ si producatori straini precum Marco G, Magda sau Fergie. Primele trei EP-uri, Friction Addiction EP, Endorse EP si ISO Dolls EP au aparut la groove++ recordings si se gasesc sub forma digitala pe djdownload.com. In anul 2008, Vania, Midy si Thornado au pornit un nou proiect, OK Corral, cu care au lansat doua EP-uri, unul dintre ele numit Anakin EP, lansat la groove++, iar cel de-al doilea poarta numele de Planetarium EP, aparut la Craft Music, Great Stuff Recordings.

The initial love for music led to obsession and, eventually, DJ-ing. He started at high school parties, but his first contact with professional equipment was in 2001. Several small parties followed.
Vania is against monotony and loves sets that are positive and dynamic. The location, the public, the sound system and the line-up are the major elements that influence the DJ set and he likes to adjust his style accordingly, within the rather large boundaries of the music he appreciates.
Musical influences vary from The Beatles to Laurent Garnier, from classical to techno or IDM, but as a DJ he tries to sustain a strong rhythm and is never satisfied with a static audience.
The Romanian musical scene had been flat for years, but it started to open up to different styles and sounds in the past years and is now seeing much improvement, both to the mainstream and to the underground scene.
2007 finds Vania as DJ resident for "The Mission" Bucharest and Studio Martin, a well known club in Bucharest. Nights.ro Awards the Romanian club music awards, placed Vania the 5th DJ of the year for 2005 and 2006, 8th in 2007, and the 2nd best ascension in 2005.
He was also a writer for Nights.ro magazine, wrote Contur for Clubbing Mag, V-Factor for Beatfactor.ro and a technical info box for FHM. He did artist, party, EP and album reviews, but also literary and editorial works, and through which he had the chance of interviewing legends like Derrick May and other artists like Marco V, Krafty Kuts, Luciano, Thomas Melchior, Magda, Apparat or Marco Carola.
He produces alongside Andrei Ioncica and they have started the Vania & Midy project. Vania & Midy tracks were played or supported by artists like Marco G, Magda or Fergie. The first three EPs, Friction Addiction EP, Endorse EP and ISO Dolls EP have been released on groove++ recordings and you may find them as digital releases on djdownload.com. Also, in 2007 they release their first vinyl on Baroque Records, under Blaufin, EP called Rebirth. For 2008 Vania got involved in a new musical project called OK Corral, alongside Midy and Thornado. They released their first release on groove++ called Anakin EP and on the 19th of June they have released a new and very important EP, called Planetarium EP, on Craft Music, a sub label of Great Stuff Recordins in Germany, a label managed by Tomcraft. Also, in the summer of 2008 they represented Romania on a official Great Stuff Recordings Compilation called Great Summer Games Stuff.
